Those with Fedora 11 x64, you can copy libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/
If Flash doesn’t work, try quitting Firefox: File > Quit.
Worked perfectly for me when I tried quitting Firefox, rather than clicking the X on the top right of the window.

Very helpful post.
Just thought that I would add a small point. You cant just drag drop the file. You get a permission denied error. You need to become root to write to the /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/ directory.
The command for that is:
$su
Password: *******
#cp ‘/home/shaunak/Desktop/libflashplayer.so’ ‘/usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins’
[Assuming you extracted to desktop.]

I followed numerous other websites who had “guaranteed” instructions, all of which failed. Yours is incredibly short and to-the-point, and best of all _works_. Thank you!

Thanks for the simple instruction! It worked fine with Fedora 11 x86_64. However, I have now upgraded to Fedora 12 x86_64 (clean install) and it doesn’t seems to work anymore. Do you know perhaps why? Best regards
